Have your say on new electric vehicle charging points

What this consultation is for

Ealing Council is proposing to install new electric vehicle (EV) charging points at several locations in the borough.

The proposed chargers would help increase access to public charging for anyone who own, use, or may switch to EVs in the future.

No decision has been made at any location. We want to hear local views before deciding whether each location should move to the next stage.

Background

We have received regular requests from residents for more publicly available charge points. In response, the council is expanding the public charging networks to support current and future demand for EV charging.

Locations have been selected based on local demand, current and future EV use, electrical suitability, road safety, and accessibility.

What is being proposed?

The proposal would:

• Create up to four dedicated EV charging bays
• Provide publicly accessible fast chargers operated by Believ
• Have charging available 24 hours a day

The chargers would be available to the public, and would not be reserved for specific residents or properties.

The proposed designs are intended to keep enough clear pavement space for pedestrians, wheelchair users, mobility aid users, and people with buggies.
